Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York
, in cooperation with CzechInvest/CzechTrade Agencies, Czech ICT Alliance and The Hatchery are recruiting Start-ups, SMEs and Corporate/University Spin-offs for Czech ICT Match in New York City – B2B business development and match-making event connecting the most promising innovative Czech technology companies with potential customers and partners in following verticals:

  • Big Data
  • Data Analytics
  • Mobile Solutions
  • Mobile Banking
  • Security

 

What to expect:

5 pre-arranged meeting at potential partners´ premises, followed by Czech Demo Day event presentation June 3rd, 2014 at Bohemia National Hall. Meetings will be arranged according to selected companies.

 

Possible corporations include:

Citibank, Bank of New York Mellon, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, American Express, Verizon, IBM, Microsoft, Hearst, News Corp, Economist, Viacom, NBC, ABC, CBS, Comcast, MTV, McCann, Publicis, and more.

 

Agenda:
Mid April:  Applications and selection procedure for the most suitable Czech ICT companies ready to do business with top New York corporations.

 

Mid May:  Business and pitch training organized by The Hatchery.  New York business is fast paced and corporations are looking for solutions among a lot of competitors. Hatchery will help package your offering as a solution; prepare you to convey your product in a concise compelling manner for the private meetings and formal demonstrations.

 

June 1:  Final fine-tuning of your presentation and meeting prep in New York along with advice and insights into the selling into the corporations.

Venue: Hatchery, New York

 

June 2-3:  Introducing you to potential partners/customers. Two days of scheduled meetings with top US corporations.

Venue: customers’ premises, New York

 

June 3: Closing Demo Day & Reception to the New York technology community of executives. (Venue: Bohemia National Hall)

 

How to apply:

STEP 1: Fill-in preliminary application form HERE (Deadline April 4, 2014)

STEP 2: if pre-approved (Deadline April 18, 2014):

1) Send a 3-5 minute video about your company.  Please cover the problem/solution/product, target customer, unique differentiation against competitors (with a focus on US market competitors), key milestones and traction (current customers, revenues, growth, etc), interest for US business, and why you should be selected.

2) Send a 1 page executive summary about your business.

Event costs:

  • Majority of event costs to be covered by Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York and Czech ICT Alliance.
  • Individual companies contribute 500 USD each + cover their travel costs.
